This Sulfonic Acid is a surfactant in the washing industry. A Surfactant is a substance which tends to reduce the surface tension of a liquid in which it is dissolved. Because of its low cost, good performance, and environmental friendliness, it is the most important and most consumable substance in a powder formulation and pure liquids.
Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonic Acid (LABSA) is principally used in the production of household detergents, including laundry powders, laundry liquids, dishwashing liquids, and various household cleaners. Over 80% of LABSA is used in household detergents. Small volumes are also applied in personal care manufacturing.
